Spring......where are you?

Dear Mother Nature,
I know it’s your job to make sure that each season comes and goes.  Just letting you know, you kinda forgot about spring this year....  Not saying that you’re slacking off!  Believe me I’m a big fan :) but I would really appreciate it if spring came by like next week at least.  I’m saying this cause I know it’s supposed to rain all week -_-

Anyways, so you asked what I did this past weekend?
So Cappy, Alicia and Paige went down to D.C. to see Jane Eyre.  I have to say that that was truly a good movie.  You have to love the wit in it :).

Here is the movie theatre we went to

Now at first we were all confused because we thought that the movie theatre was in Chinatown....  Well as it turned out, we only ended up in Chinatown because someone thought it would be a nice place to go.  So the whole time we were trying to find this movie theatre, aimlessly walking around with no sense of direction, it was only a couple streets away from Chinatown.  Luckily Cappy had her phone...  Anywho, once we found the movie theatre, we got our tickets and then attempted to see the cherry blossoms.  On our way there we were pretending to have English accents having a good time when someone with a real European accent asked us where the CVS was.  We told him that we did not know but then later found it as soon as we crossed the street.  I really hope that man found his CVS...  Now we never actually saw the cherry blossoms because we were randomly walking about.  We did however see them in the movie for 3 seconds xD.  After the movie we put some sushi in our tummies and made an escape to home through the lovely metro system.

A really weird poster that I saw in D.C. that I thought I would like to share with you...

Now the weekend before this one I went out to Newport News to visit some seagulls.  And while I was there I decided that I might as well visit my sisters and niece :).  I went to a pretttty beach and got my sisters tour of CNU.  DONT FORGET THE PETTING ZOO!  That’s right, I saw an emu :D!
And took my sisters dog scarlet on many a walks and runs :)

(Hey I found out where the add caption button is ^o^) This is me and scarlet

Cleaning Frenzy!

At the moment I am currently doing some laundry… AND MY BULLY OF A DRYER JUST SHOCKED ME. >o<  as you can see I’m all torn up inside.  I thought we were friends this whole time, every since the day they brought him home.  We just had this special connection you see….
Anyways, this past week I’ve been trying to improve my study habits.  I’d like to say that it has been going well for me.  I would get more things done if I wasn’t so picky about my room.  I’m not sure what it is, but I can’t concentrate on my homework if my room is messy or disorganized…  Because of this, I will have these nights where I’m running around the house listening to my iPod and singing along.  Don’t forget the dancing partJ.  On these nights where I go on a cleaning frenzy, I usually get to bed pretty late cause I end up doing homework after I have spent some good hours cleaning and dancing.  Today I figured this wouldn’t happen because I had to go from lacrosse practice and then straight to swim.  I assumed I would be out of energy and then…….!  It all comes back to me! Honestly people, I’m not sure where my Paige energy comes from either.  I must be a unicorn O_o.

To a Future Paige

This post is for me to read in the future so that I know what kind of person I was, what I did, and what I loved.  My plan with this blog is that when I’m ready to graduate from high school I can look back and see all that I have done.  Maybe one day if I have a daughter, she can read this and see what her mom was like in high school.  Most likely she’s going to be weirded out, unless she’s a mini me….O_o.  In fact, I now plan on writing a letter to my future children(s).  A letter from their mother before they were even born… Anyways, it would be cool if I continued to blog my whole life.  Okay future Elizabeth Paige (if you didn’t switch your name around by then) enjoyJ.
At the moment you are a sophomore and you still have difficulties spelling sophomore.  Your favorite season is the spring and love bright colors.  Easter is your favorite season (bunny rabbits are soooo cuteJ).   Jason Mraz is your favorite singer although you are currently listening to Come Out and Play by The Offspring.  As you are typing this you are in your green PJ’s with polka dots.  Vladimir is your kitty cat and partner in crime.  Kiki is your new nick name for him.  You painted your bedroom bright orange and lime green and are counting down the days till you get your own room.
A barn thingy Theresa made for Vladimir
SWIM!!!!  YOU LOVE TO SWIM MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD!!!!  Butterfly is your stroke and your current time in the 100 meter butterfly is a 1:04.  This past swim season you somehow dropped 12 seconds O_o (<- your favorite emoticon).  Edison, Virginia Hills, and Curl Burke are your teams.  Also you teach a bunch of little kids how to swim on Sunday nights.  On top of swim, you also play attack for lacrosse.
There I am playing UNO at a swim meet xD

Also your chemistry teacher just emailed me asking me if I had taken her orange safety vest last semester…. I SWEAR IT WASN’T ME!!!!

So there you go Paige, this was you at 15.  Ill post some more about this kind of stuff so you can remember.  Ill even do a little Paige one and put up some pictures of your beautiful kindergarten artwork xD.

CATCH YA ON THE FLIP SIDE!

May never sleep again after hearing about.......BED BUGS!

"Good night, sleep tight,
Don't let the bedbugs bite..."

Well as it turns out, there are actually such things as bed bugs.  AND THEY'RE ON THE RISE!  Thanks to my psychology teacher I will have trouble sleeping tonight.  In class today we were talking about the brain and then we looked at a study where a bed bug had actually climbed into someones ear and was eating away at their brain.  Usually they only come out at night and eat the dead skin off your face or suck blood.....its uber yucky.  Upon hearing this I stated to panic a little because I thought that maybe the red dots on my face weren't acne.  my teacher convinced me that was not the case though, but ill still be paranoid when I go to bed tonight.  But that's why I have my super hero cat Vladimir :)

My day got better when my french teacher forgot the tests at home and we didn't have to take it (the one I should be studying for right now).  But instead we had to write a 20 sentence script about our car breaking down, including vocab that we had learned.  Seeing as I did not know that much vocab, I guess you could say I went off topic a little.  I started my story out with my car lighting on fire (it was the only car related accident phrase in french that I knew).  Then a police officer comes to check out the scene.  Because i didn't know how to say police officer in french (its probably going to end up being something really simple...) I just referred to him as un poulet.  I'm not sure why our french teacher taught us the derogatory slang for police officers, but it was the only thing i remembered :).  Well, I didn't know how to ask "Is everything all right" or any similar phrases in french, so my police character ended up talking about monkeys and the word grapefruit was talked about several time.  It does sound random, but it all ties in somehow.  I'm 110% positive that my paper is going to get an A+++++++ ^o^.

Later in the day we had to attend a drive to stay alive event in the auditorium.  The only thing I remember the channel news 7 guy talking about was comparing our young brains to cake...xD. Me thinks it was funny.  Then I was suddenly hungry for strawberry cake...  There was also a sad video about texting and driving.  Please don't do it my lemon drops, THAT ALSO APPLIES TO YOU FUTURE PAIGE!!!!......don't give me that look missy!  Your silly.  I guess I'm silly too then...

Take care lemon drops :)

Sunday, minus the sun part...

Today was a rainy day but I don't mind cause that only helps spring get here a little faster, although the rain did make it difficult for me to finish my fundraising for lacrosse.  While I was out and about in the neighborhood I came up to this one house and I swear THE MAN LOOK EXACTLY LIKE DEXTER!!  I was just thankful he didn't want any cookie dough and I quickly hurried away to the next house.  Now I'm pretty sure my cat Vladimir >^..^< (I had to actually look up how to do that.  Along with the step by step instructions the site provided, it also shared some tips and warnings xD) is still mad at me at me for visiting the house that holds his enemy cat.  BOSCO :O!!!!  They also had this very nice kitty cat who somehow managed to hug me...  The rainy weather helped me get some donations tho, because people felt bad for me :).

So later in the evening today I went off to the pool and became COACH PAIGE!!!! I think I’m pretty good at it, even if most the parents think I act just like their children (minus the fact that some of them look like they’re about to drown any second).  I also don’t spit.....like some of the boys in my group do to each other.  The other week I unfortunately got in the middle of it and yeah, it was kinda gross.  I started calling the kids in my group "young grasshoppers", they always laugh at this and then explain to me that they are not grasshoppers.  All but one kid who insists that he is a cricket...  This was also the same kid who had at the beginning of practice called himself an eggplant.  That was what I thought at first but it turns out he was just explaining to me that he was eight.  To me at least, eight and eggplant sound so similar they could practically be the same word.  At swim today I was surprised that I didn’t get kicked like I usually do, or hit in the head with a kick board.  Maybe getting kicked so much is only a result of teaching eight year olds how to swim breaststroke (some kinda form of it...).
